Inspiring Hope: Encouraging and uplifting others by fostering a sense of optimism and possibility. We aim to motivate people to envision a positive future, even in the face of challenges or adversity.
Living Faith: Demonstrating our faith through actions that reflect our core values and beliefs. We strive to live purposefully, guided by principles of compassion, integrity, and service.
Sharing Love: Extending kindness and support to everyone we encounter. We aim to build a community where love is freely given and received, fostering connections that uplift and empower .

Faith Builders: Mission Statement

Vision Statement:

We aim to foster mutual support, spiritual growth, and sustainable development.Goals:

To establish partnerships with churches to enable church leaders to share resources, knowledge, and support, fostering a sense of global community and solidarity.
Reach Children and Families in Need: Empower church leaders to identify and address the needs of children and families in their communities. This includes providing access to education, healthcare, and basic necessities, as well as offering spiritual and emotional support.
Equip the Church: Provide training and resources to church leaders to enhance their ability to serve their communities effectively. This includes leadership development, financial management, and community outreach strategies.
Enable and Engage the Church: Encourage active participation and engagement from church members in both partner churches. This can include mission trips, cultural exchanges, and collaborative projects that promote understanding and cooperation.
Promote Sustainable Development: Support initiatives that promote long-term, sustainable development in partner communities. This includes projects focused on education, healthcare, economic development, and environmental sustainability.
Foster Spiritual Growth: Create opportunities for spiritual growth and discipleship within partner churches. This includes shared worship experiences, Bible studies, and prayer initiatives that strengthen the faith and unity of the global church community.

Mission Statement

Faith in Action is dedicated to fostering a community of students committed to living out their faith through service and outreach. We aim to inspire, empower, and mobilise students to make a positive impact on campus and in the wider community by embodying the principles of compassion, generosity, and unity.

Goals

Promote Service and Outreach: Organise and participate in regular service projects and outreach programs that address the needs of the local community and beyond.
Foster Spiritual Growth: Provide opportunities for members to deepen their faith through study groups, prayer meetings, and spiritual retreats.
Build a Supportive Community: Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students can connect, share experiences, and support one another in their faith journeys.
Develop Leadership Skills: Offer leadership training and development opportunities to equip members with the skills needed to lead and serve effectively.
Collaborate with Other Organisations: Partner with other student groups, local charities, and community organisations to amplify our impact and foster a spirit of collaboration.
Raise Awareness: Increase awareness of social issues and the importance of service through educational events, workshops, and campaigns.

Constitution of Faith in Action Student Union

Article I: Name and Purpose
Section 1: Name The name of this organisation shall be the Faith in Action Student Union (FIA).Section 2: Purpose The purpose of FIA is to represent the interests and views of the student body, promote and protect their welfare, and encourage participation in activities that foster a sense of community and personal growth.

Article II: Membership
Section 1: Eligibility All enrolled students at the institution are eligible for membership in FIA.Section 2: Rights of Members Members shall have the right to:

Attend and speak at all FIA meetings.
Vote in general meetings and elections.
Stand for election to any office within FIA.
Participate in FIA activities and use its facilities.

Article III: Executive Committee
Section 1: Composition The Executive Committee shall consist of the following officers:

President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Social Secretary
Charity & Fundraising Officer
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Officer

Section 2: Duties and Responsibilities

President: Provides overall leadership, represents FIA in official capacities, and presides over meetings.
Vice President: Assists the President and assumes their duties in their absence.
Secretary: Maintains records, takes meeting minutes, and handles correspondence.
Treasurer: Manages finances, prepares budgets, and oversees fundraising activities.
Social Secretary: Organizes social events and activities.
Charity & Fundraising Officer: Coordinates charitable activities and fundraising efforts.
EDI Officer: Promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion within FIA and the wider community.

Article IV: Meetings
Section 1: General Meetings General meetings shall be held at least once per semester. All members are encouraged to attend.Section 2: Executive Committee Meetings The Executive Committee shall meet monthly to discuss and plan FIA activities and address any issues.Section 3: Special Meetings Special meetings may be called by the President or by a petition of at least 10% of the membership.

Article V: Elections
Section 1: Election Procedure Elections for Executive Committee positions shall be held annually. Candidates must be nominated by at least two members.Section 2: Voting Voting shall be by secret ballot. A simple majority is required to win an election.

Article VI: Committees
Section 1: Standing Committees FIA shall have the following standing committees:

Events Committee
Outreach Committee
Finance Committee

Section 2: Ad Hoc Committees Ad hoc committees may be established by the Executive Committee as needed.

Article VII: Amendments
Section 1: Proposal Amendments to this constitution may be proposed by any member of FIA.Section 2: Approval Amendments must be approved by a two-thirds majority of members present at a general meeting.

Article VIII: Dissolution
Section 1: Procedure In the event of dissolution, all assets of FIA shall be donated to a charitable organisation chosen by the Executive Committee.This constitution provides a solid foundation for the Faith in Action Student Union, ensuring clear structure, roles, responsibilities, and procedures. By adhering to these guidelines, FIA can effectively serve its members and fulfil its mission.

The ministry of helps beautifully expresses God’s love and care through His people. It focuses on meeting practical needs and providing tangible support to others, fostering a sense of community and belonging within the body of Christ.

Our Ministry of Helps

Our Ministry of Helps encompasses various forms of service and support, allowing believers to participate in God’s work by serving others and meeting their needs. The Bible teaches that this ministry is vital and often underappreciated. It involves serving and assisting others in various ways, reflecting the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, who came to serve rather than to be served.

In 1 Corinthians 12:28, the ministry of helps is listed among other spiritual gifts, highlighting its importance within the body of Christ. Every believer has a role to play in supporting our mission.

Our Ministry of Helps includes a wide range of activities, from administrative support to practical assistance, all aimed at building up and aiding others.

The concept is rooted in the idea that God is the ultimate source of help, and He uses His people to fulfil His will on earth. In Romans 12:6-8, Paul encourages believers to use their gifts, including serving, to benefit the body of Christ. This passage highlights the diversity of gifts and the importance of each one.
