Yes, you heard me right, if you’ve a strong footing in grace you will never lose God’s blessings. Say after me, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” Psalm 23:1.
“He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.” Proverbs 10:9
Who walks surely?
It is he that walks uprightly; the wise in heart, the righteous, or the just. Please note this, “The wise in heart will receive commandments…” Proverbs 10:8, and “Blessings are upon the head of the just…” Proverbs 10:6.
He walks surely, meaning he is on firm footing. “The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.” Proverbs 10:7. What that means is you’re blessed head to toe, and much in every way, when coming in or going out, even in this life and hereafter. The righteous is an everlasting foundation.
Even his mouth is also blessed; because it uttereth only wisdom, which is the fear of God, “Wise men lay up knowledge…” Proverbs 10:14.
I like these verses too,
“The hope of the righteous shall be gladness….The way of the Lord is strength to the upright….. The righteous shall never be removed….” Proverbs 10:28-30. Isn’t that tremendous?
- Are you hoping for something? The hope of the righteous shall be gladness! You’ll soon be rejoicing!
- Are you on a journey of some kind? The way of the Lord is strength to the upright. He’ll protect you!
- Are you battling something? Do you need to be established? The righteous shall never be removed. You shall never lose God’s blessing!
The moral of the story: He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known, his sins will find you out.
