What is God’s Faith?
Reading: Romans Chapter 3
O, the singer said, “The steadfast Love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end, They are new every morning, New every morning, Great is Thy faithfulness, O Lord Great is Thy faithfulness.”
God has faith only in his word. Just because we break our promises to God, does not mean God will break his promises. He has faith only in his faithfulness, his promises, his will, his truth.
Every man is a lair!
As far as God is concerned He has already made His ruling for each and everyone of us, that “…we’re all under sin…there is none righteous, no, not one.” Rom 3:10-11
As far as he’s concerned we’re declared to be guilty; “…all gone out of the way…unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Romans 3:12
He looks and sees in everyone of us condemned convicts, hypocrites, and in his sight all of us are dishonest people and sinners. “Well, then, are we Jews better than others? No, not at all, for we have already shown that all men alike are sinners, whether Jews or Gentiles.” Romans 3:9
No one is good-no one in all the world is innocent. “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Romans 3:18
Romans 3:23 sets its seal on all who think otherwise, saying they should be at least excluded, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
As it is written, (Romans 3:10 – 17) There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways:
And the way of peace have they not known:
There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
God has faith not in you or me but faith is only in his word, “…in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” Romans 3:24-26
– Jesus Christ is our only hope, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith.
“Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not!” Romans 3:3-4
