WHERE IS THEN THE BLESSEDNESS YE SPAKE OF?RECENT POST

Where is then the blessedness ye spake of?

Anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God….Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.” Revelation 3:14,17-18

Paul said to the Galatians; I fear for you! He said, “They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them. But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.” Galatians 4:17-18

He asked, “Where is then the blessedness ye spake of?” Galatians 4:15

If you are blind, you can’t look at yourself and see that you are wretched, miserable, poor, and naked. Mental darkness is worse than a loss of sight; but a loss of spiritual vision is even worse.

Anyway let me not lose you. Jesus says, “…thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked…”

Some Christians are the opposite of what they profess. Instead of a blessed life they are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. It ought not to be so.

Have you not heard people say we are rich, we’ve have wealth and are in need of nothing, but what they say about themselves is the opposite of who they’re?

The church at Laodicea looked at their spiritual condition and said we have need of nothing! We’re rich, wealthy and blessed! These did not know that they were wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. The contrast between what they thought that they were and what they really were, what they saw and what Jesus sees was surprisingly huge.

What Jesus sees in you is more important than how you see yourself. You may think you’re poor but before him you’re really rich.

Be not be deceived by material prosperity, in outward wealth, and in physical health.  It may appear like you don’t need anything but to be honest you’re in dire need.

He said, “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.”

God bless,
