What sort of work is yours?

In 1 Cor 3, Paul says, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

…Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire….

For some people it appears that Day has already come – how have you been building on that foundation you’ve inherited? Have you been using the right materials? Is it gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, that you used?
You need not say, because your work is being revealed by fire; to see what kind of material you used.
The fire those people are going through is quite revealing, it appears they’re not standing the test. Fire is revealing that someone has been a hireling – they’ve not taken care of the sheep. The material they used is causing their sheep to stumble.

Daniel 5:25-28 says, “And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN … God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. TEKEL ; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.…”

Tell you what, if this is talking of you, do the honourable thing – return that you borrowed; no way they’ll become your sheep. Paul said, “I have laid the foundation….But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.” And you people, you don’t need a false sense of peace – know where your grace is, and like that prodigal son, deal with your pride and return to your father – he will receive you. Don’t feed on husks that swine did eat. Look around you, see what’s going on – you’re dealing with wicked husbandmen, good only at beating, killing and sending people away empty.

If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. What sort of work is yours?
