“The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.” Psalm 25:14
The man who fears the Lord is the one that God always teaches, he teaches him when, where and how to make good choices.
God sets before him a blessing and a curse, good and evil and then He tells him which one to pick – He says, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” Deuteronomy 30:19.
Back to our Psalm, David says,
“Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.” (Psalm 25:4-5). Woe unto you if all you know is rely on people for revelation or doctrine.
I don’t know who you learn from but David here says, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Depend, trust or rely on Him – He’s the good and the rest are hirelings.
Why from him? Because salvation is his, so is mercy, loving kindness, a heaven to put you, and all that which is good. “All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep [learn from him] his covenant and his testimonies.” (Psalm 25:10). We’ve come to a time where “ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” (1 John 2:27). You want to abide in him? Let the anointing of the Spirit, and of Christ and of the Father abide in you. 1 John 2:28 says, “And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.”
“Good and upright is the Lord : therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.” (Psalm 25:8-9). Jesus says, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:29-30
What man is he that feareth the Lord?
It is he whom he teaches, and he who makes right choices. “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant,” in time of his troubles; affliction, distress and pain – the Lord will remember mercy, and redeem or deliver him out of all his troubles.
“Unto thee, O Lord , do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.” Psalm 25:1-3,
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
