Romans Chapter 9
Paul says I long for you to come to Christ because only those who believe the promise of salvation in Jesus are the children of God.
Salvation is not going to be because of what works you did but because of what God wanted and chose. God’s blessings are not given just because you decide to have them or because works hard to get them. They are given because He wants you to have them.
By this God created an opportunity for us also to be saved, to be acquitted by faith even though we did not know Him, along with those who tried so hard to get right with God by keeping his laws, never succeeded,
“…Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law…” Romans 9:32
Paul says I long that you come to Christ because only those who believe believe shall be saved. But all those who refuse shall stumble at that stumbling stone. It wouldn’t matter you’re Jew or Gentile.
“Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.” Romans 9:7-8
“So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” Romans 9:16
The vessels of mercy are you that believe!
