WHERE IS THEN THE BLESSEDNESS YE SPAKE OF?RECENT POST

Thou man of God

“O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.” 1 Timothy 6:20-21

Paul focused his attention on a man of God and said, O Timothy “… flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith …” (1 Timothy 6:11-12) that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

He said if any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; that man is perverse!

Now, the problem we’ve these days are men and women of God who teach otherwise; “…supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain…” (1 Timothy 6:5-6). Our problem are people who themselves have erred concerning the faith, who still continue to preach and boast of their “knowledge” of God. But do they really know God as they so profess, or  that “knowledge” is a cover up to their perverseness?

Again, men and women of the cloth who teach otherwise, and consent not to sound doctrine are they who have caused the name of God and his doctrine to be blasphemed, for what now proceeds out from the pulpit these days is rather fictitious. Most of it is fake, is neither real nor true, but such as is imagined, and fabricated.

I was listening to some prophecies on social media, even a novice can tell that these are imagined,  invented and made up so that you should believe that they’ve the gift. Many of these prophets wants to steal the show of each life event.

But thou, O Timothy, man of God,  “… flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith …” Godliness with contentment is great gain. Be content with what Christ had to avail to you – it should suffice you.

Grace be with you!

God bless,

Laurence
