“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” 2 Corinthians 4:13
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed!
Faith is strong belief or complete trust in God. It is unreasonable, and deceptive to assume it means a lot more than what scripture says it is. Seeing it in other contexts sometimes is it believers have witnessed a sage of so many of these subtle ideas and pernicious ways leading to so many damnable heresies. Here is the rule; Hebrews 11:6 teaches us concerning faith, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Anything more may come out evil, or voluntary humility which profits little. Remember always, His yoke is easy and same is His burden, light!
So many believers are taken out of the way, especially by those who profess to teach them faith, and by so doing they end up doing the unthinkable. “Let no man deceive you by any means…” (2 Thessalonians 2:3).
Paul says to the Corinthians, “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God,” (2 Corinthians 4:13-15).
My friend, you only need to believe, or trust “that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.”
Above I said, “Let no man deceive you by any means…”
2 Thessalonians 2:7-17 says,
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let , until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him , whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
