The Little Open Book

Another powerful Angel (probably the Lord) had a little book open in his hand, when he called out – the Seven Thunders also called back.

We do not know what was echoed by the seven thunders, nor was the reason for suppressing them. All we know is John was told to “Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.” Revelation 10:4

“But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” (Revelation 10:7). At the end of the prophecies, time should be no more.

John eats the little book

“And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.” Revelation 10:8

He took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and lo, it was in his mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as he had eaten it, his belly was bitter. We all do the same don’t we? Hear the parable of the sower; “… the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.” Matthew 13:20-21. Like all good men would like to receive a word from God but when this book of prophecy is thoroughly digested, the contents would be bitter; there were things so awful and terrible, such grievous persecutions, and desolations, that the foresight and foreknowledge of them would be painful to bare with. There is a race to run and victories to be won.

After he ate the book the angel said, “Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.” Revelation 10:11

He tells John, go preach again!

You’re delusional if you’re of those that think the world has been evangelised enough. “Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
