WHERE IS THEN THE BLESSEDNESS YE SPAKE OF?RECENT POST

The just shall live by faith

Scripture reading: Romans 1:15-25

Few points to take note of from the above scripture;

  • the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;
  • The just shall live by faith;
  • the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Repeat this after me, say,

  • Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
  • Say, for the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead;

Say, “Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, I love; in whom, though now I see him not, yet believing, I rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

The created universe reveals the existence of God; that is an objective fact.

Our world today is an educated world. Many of our children go to university, don’t they? If we don’t teach our children the right stuff about God we are in danger of losing them to philosophical systems of reason and other beliefs. There are people out there waiting to take prey of your children, and if they find them empty you lose your kids.

Often times the unclean spirit finds our kids empty, swept and garnished. At university the unclean spirit with seven more wicked ones “enter in and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation” (Matthew 12:43-45). Then the parent is puzzled – who did it? The enemy did it while you were asleep. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Jesus said, “Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.” He talked about the unclean spirit, and the seven more wicked ones ready to enter in and dwell in an empty and garnished heart. These spirits are waiting; Atheism (no God), Polytheism (Many gods), Materialism (denies the reality of the spirit), Pantheism (all is God), Deism (natural law), Rationalism (reasoning), Pessimism (evil), Evolution (history).

But Paul says, “I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…”

The gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.

The reason why the gospel should be believed is because it is invisible; you don’t see it – It is spirit and alive.

Say, “Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, I love; in whom, though now I see him not, yet believing, I rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.”

I hear Paul say,

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-16

– the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

It is the Spirit of God that teaches us to know God; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. God reveals them to us by his spirit; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. The things which pertains to the kingdom of God are spiritually discerned. Jesus said, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). Man by wisdom cannot know God, but we have the mind of Christ.

He said, “the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” There are all these philosophical beliefs, (Atheism, Polytheism, Materialism, Pantheism, Deism, Rationalism, Pessimism, Evolution) and all to prove man by wisdom cannot know God, but we have the mind of Christ.

What is pastor talking about?

If you’re not taught well; you end up worshipping and serving a creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. You end up changing the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, forgetting that God is a Spirit. Paul said, “The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools…”

Paul said, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,” the fact that he’s is a Spirit, he’s invisible, I can’t see him with my eyes, “is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…for therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” What does he say to Thomas? “Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” John 20:29

Paul says, “So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you…” Not that I should change “the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Not that I should hold the truth in unrighteousness

Not that I should change the truth of God into a lie, and worship and serve the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

God bless,

Laurence
