Grace and peace is multiplied to you, only through the knowledge of God, and even glory and virtue.
Apostle Peter says,
“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” (2 Peter 1:2-3).
Again he says through the knowledge of God, “…an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.” 2 Peter 1:11-12
Hopefully you know it that it’s through the knowledge of God that you come also to discover your true self. You should be set free from a false self by Christ and be completely dependent upon God, and knowing Him will help you deal with real life issues. Our problem is not with Satan, not with people, not even with the circumstances of our lives, but our biggest dilemma is in our relationship with God. Your focus should be to know God, it has to change from a concern about self, to a concern about God’s glory and to knowing God for real. “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.” Philippians 3:10-11.
Paul says, “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.” ( Philippians 3:8-11).
I hear the Lord pray, “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self…” (John 17:5).
Tell you what? You can also know him, and attain to the same level of glory and virtue.
