Thou God of my salvation

Your journey to understanding spiritual warfare – Psalm 51

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” Psalm 51:17

It is a broken spirit God wants – a broken and a contrite heart, He will not ignore.

If for any reason you come to God for forgiveness; show remorse, shame, sorrow and regret. David said, “I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me” (Psalm 51:3). He said I know, “It is against you and you alone I sinned and did this terrible thing. You saw it all, and your sentence against me is just” (Psalm 51:4). All offences are committed against God it doesn’t matter to who where and how.

He cried, “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.” Psalm 51:1

When you ask God for mercy, all you’re saying is O God, wash me, purge me, deliver me and cleanse me from my sin. “O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.” Don’t continue to live with guilt – admit your shameful deeds, else it haunts you.

Apostle John said, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). He is faithful, he is loving and he is kind, and that’s all in his good pleasure to deliver your soul from death; to cast you not away from his presence but create in you a clean heart and restore to you the the joy of your salvation.

It is God’s desire that you enjoy serving and worshipping him, with “a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.”

God bless,

Laurence
