My advice for Mr President is that he delivers on what he has promised so far, and stop this business of showering us with promises.
“So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man” (Proverbs 3:4).
Favour is earned, period. The problem with king Saul is he kept on doing the opposite of want he initially promised, that even God said I’m done with you. He offered David a job, (jobs, jobs, jobs) but the truth is he wanted to pin him to wall with his sword. Peace, peace, peace but what had he to do with peace?
Our president has the chance to lure everyone to his side but I’m afraid time is running out of him. You hear me comrade, Chiwenga? Time is running out. Isaiah told king Hezekiah, “Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order…” (Isaiah 38:1-2). Zanu-PF’s honeymoon is over, in actual fact it was over the day Mugabe was ousted, and all you coming after him should know you need work so hard to “find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man” otherwise, come this election you lose big time, makatemba. One thing I praise president Mugabe for is the Zanu/Zapu unity accord, what think ye of G40?
Once bitten twice shy, it’s a new Zimbabwe, this time people will vote, not on the merits of love, love, peace, peace but justified causes of course.
