“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18
Perfect love heals all the phobias of life, you name them. As we get to understand this perfect love, we will realize total healing.
Fear has to go!
Fear of death and judgment, and fear of rejection we find to be overwhelming, it must go. It’s because of fear that man will do whatever people wants him to be, and do anything to make himself feel important. Man looks for people to need him, and he thinks if they need him and he helps them, then they will not reject me. Man will love others, just so they will love him, he can’t bear to be rejected. So, will a wife cover up a failure of a spouse, for fear she may be rejected, and so many things that happens out there is the result of fear.
But the Christian life should be a life of love, and this love is the divine nature. This nature is placed within us to respond to the needs of others.
I no longer try to please people, the world, and God – it’s our way of life to love. No longer do I seek to be accepted and be approved by people, and God – thanks to Jesus I’ve already been made accepted. The Holy Spirit must help you come to terms with that. It’s his business to lead you into all truth; to both guide you and direct you by the word of God.
It is no longer your performance for God that matters, it never was for the first man Adam but still God loved him. You should surrender to Him who loves you just as you’re. I wrote somewhere that even when you fail, God still loves you regardless. All your faults, guilt and shame were buried in the grave of him that loves you unconditionally, and fear too. That you should no longer be afraid even of God but have access.
See yourself in the eyes of God, being loved and accepted; even when you fail still he loves you anyway.
1 John 3:2-3 says, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”
