As most of all epistles, chapter 3 of 2 Corinthians is given as food for thought. It’s like Paul was saying here is a scrambled letter, read and solve it!
In God we trust
We trust God through Christ that he will help us to be true to all that we stand for; i.e. our Christian values, ethics and beliefs. That’s our greatest trust, that God will help us be who we say we are – the true epistles of Christ.
Yes he will help us so that light should transcend from one person to another, “by reason of the glory that excelleth.”
It’s God alone who can change us none else, “into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord,” the same image of becoming more and more like him.
When people looks at us they should be able to see that we resemble God – much in every way. It destroys them when we are found to be otherwise.
2 Corinthians 3:2-4 says,
“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward.”
“Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 3:12-14
See our calling friends, it is not again to put a veil over our faces so that people shouldn’t see, for we have nothing to hide. Everything is out in the open with Christ.
We ourselves are “…manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 3:3
– we’re known and read of all men, 2 Corinthians 3:2
Now since we’re we ourselves are the epistles of Christ, 2 Corinthians 3:12 says, “…use great plainness of speech,” when you minister, and give life!
Remember he promised his church a new kind of glory exceeding by far that of Moses.
Not anymore should those who teach blind people’s minds because the veil of misunderstanding was removed, it was abolished and done away with outrightly in Christ Jesus our Lord.
“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:17-18
Now believers need to know the importance of them understanding scriptures for themselves. There’s no excuse. “Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.” Matthew 13:11
You’re a letter from Christ, written by the Spirit of the living God; “The only letter I need is you yourselves! By looking at the good change in your hearts, everyone can see that we have done a good work among you.” 2 Corinthians 3:2
