Spiritual Warfare – Understanding Spiritual Warfare

Read Psalm 1

First and foremost, you did the right thing to seek Godly advice. I can assure you God is delighted of your choice.

Now, one thing you shouldn’t do as a believer is to seat in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of those scoffing the things of God. But blessed are you when your delight is in the things of God. And concerning the law of the Lord, his word –  this hear, and your soul shall live; and in Isaiah 55:3  he says, “I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

By adhering to his word He guarantees you the following, and expressing a strong assertion or intention He says;

  • you shall bring forth fruit, each season without fail.
  • your leaf also shall not wither; meaning you shall not die before you see these things happening, and
  • whatever you do shall prosper.

The above comes as a reward for knowing Him. You don’t need to do anything except to worship him.

“For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.” Psalm 1:6

 Hebrews 3:12 says, Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.” I like the version of this in Deuteronomy 11:16, it says, “Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them.”

You know what? If you’re to receive anything from God, your heart has to be fixed, rightly trusting in Him.

See you in Psalm 2
