No flesh should glory in his presence

No flesh should glory in his presence

Read 1 Corinthians 1

Now that you’re in Christ Jesus, grace is all you need.

Every believer is supposed to have a full understanding of his Word, and be able to speak out for him. The moment you receive him – your whole life is enriched by him for that purpose, to become his witness.

“Now you have every grace and blessing; every spiritual gift and power for doing his will are yours during this time of waiting for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 1:7

To be able to speak out for him, you need grace. The scripture above is saying since you believed, every grace and blessing is yours; every spiritual gift and power for doing his will.

So now that you’re in Christ Jesus, (1Cor 1:5) “…in everything you are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in knowledge.” That anointing is not only for a chosen few but it’s for everyone, those who have believed and have the testimony of Christ confirmed in them. That’s why every believer is supposed to have a full understanding of his Word.

“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:9

God is the one who invited you into this wonderful fellowship with his Son, it is a fellowship to speak on his behalf, and that we should speak is one thing. Ephesians 4:4-7 says, “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” Church is unified in its beliefs and should look ultimately to Christ for that unity and not to men. No flesh should glory in his presence!

“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” 1 Corinthians 1:10

  • in the fellowship we speak the same thing.

When you’re called it means you’re chosen and set apart to go preach around the world God’s good news – that good news is none else expect the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.” Romans 1:3-4

It is important that you believe that Jesus is that Christ, the Son of God. For if you believe and testify to this truth of all that he did for us at the cross you receive grace and apostleship also for obedience to the faith.

1 Corinthians 1:17 says, “For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Academic wisdom; wisdom of this world, wisdom of words, philosophical ideas, etc, is nonsense, for it all come to nothing before God. We are not saved by human brilliance but by the simple message of the cross of Christ. “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18

  • it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe, 1 Corinthians 1:21

We should seek wisdom that comes from God and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31
