Make every decision according to God’s will
Make every decision according to his will.
Shalom, and welcome, Today I’m saying to you make every decision according to God’s will.
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took Daniel and his three friends when they were small boys or children.
“Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king’s palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.” Daniel 1:4
These were disciplined children, and well trained by their parents. The Church has fine men and women, and singers like these but unfortunately we’re losing them to the world of politics, and other things, the Nabucadnezzars of days.
Anyway The Bible says, “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” Daniel 1:8
That’s how it all began, and had favour with God, while still young and at school; “Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself…therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. This decision takes real courage and good faith, and it was the right decision, and a life changer for Daniel.
After he gruduated, Daniel still remained the same, he kept the faith. He never said now I have this degree I must now be quiet as is the manner of some. So many believers, and even pastors slow down and disappear from the public eye when they graduate, with a theology diploma, worse when it’s a degree, a masters or PhD. But Daniel became even louder with each experience gained every step of the way.
Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank. I don’t know what that is for you but for some it is politics which defiles them, and farms also which they get for free, you name it.
However, Daniel had Others also who made the right decisions; you can make that right decision with them too.
– Joseph, he said to his master’s wife, “thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Gen 39.9
– Moses, said that the people of God were better than ‘ll the money of Egypt heb 11:25
– Ruth, that God would be her God also, Ruth 1:6
– Isaiah, that he would go and obey the Lord, isa 6.8
– Josiah. That he would follow the God of David; 2chor 34.3
Everyday we all must make similar decisions , and to honour them. Some of these decisions are very important, because the spirit bares witness with our spirits. It is good to know God’s word and make every decision according to his will.
Thank you for listening, and until we meet again God bless,
