It works by simple faith

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:1-4 KJV

Three things you should know about in 1 Timothy 2, it’s Paul saying it yet not I, “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:3-4

1. Prayer

Every believer should know how to pray

Pray every way you know how,

  • supplications – ask on behalf of others
  • prayers – gather to pray with the others
  • intercessions – pray in the spirit, make petition for on behalf of others
  • giving of thanks – give thanks for all God is going to do for them.

Pray for everyone you know, and for rulers and those in authority over us that they rule well.

Who should pray?

Both men and women, and here is how;

2. Men

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” 1 Timothy 2:8

3. Women

“In like manner also…But [in a way] (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.” 1 Timothy 2:9-10 KJV

  • that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection, 1 Timothy 2:11

  • Women should be able to listen, and learn quietly and humbly.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence, 1 Timothy 2:12

  • Let them be silent in your church meetings.

Note: he says, women should listen!

If at all they do, God himself will save their souls, “if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.” 1 Timothy 2:15

Should women therefore not preach?

Nay! Some of them do it better than men. However it’s not about who does it better, but the order of creation, “For Adam was first formed, then Eve.” 1 Timothy 2:13

“…notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.” Philippians 1:18

So my take is if they (women) listen, they can save their souls from the hustle, pain and suffering of ‘childbearing’ – and God is able to do that for them, if at all they trust in him, living quiet, good, and loving.

“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.” 1 Timothy 2:3

The things of God works by virtue of simple faith, “Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.” Luke 18:17
