For how can we sing?

Beware of evil beasts; people whose habit is to make you sing the Lord’s song but while doing so would actually be destroying you.

The Psalmist said, “For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion” Psalm 137:3.

Some believers still haven’t realised how they’re ‘being wasted’ by those they think are serving them. People are there in your life for different reasons. They that carried them away captive required of them a song, and were there to repay them with destruction.  Judas Iscariot said, “Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein,” John 12:4-6. We’ve such many thieves in our midst.

I hear Paul say, “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. [Broad is the way that leads to destruction.] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.” 1 Thessalonians 5:3-7

Let us not sleep, AS DO OTHERS. “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night” 1 Thessalonians 5:2.

God bless,
