Faith is not force

Faith is not force

Read; Romans 10

Do you know every believer has great enthusiasm for God? But sometimes that enthusiasm is misguided too, as a result many go on to establish their own righteousness.

Ephesians 5:14-16 says, “Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

The downside of religion is you’ve minimal chances to turning back when you’re lost. That’s the reason many go on to establishing their own righteousness.

Paul says, “awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Christ will give you light! What that means is He gives to those who trust in him everything they need to know him better and serve him better.

Salvation comes from trusting God through Christ. The word of truth is what is basically need – which is already near you and in your heart that is, the word of faith, which we preach.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9

The reason there are so many churches today could also be because this word of faith was taken out of context. So many believers have a misdirected zeal. The Word of Faith movement is deceiving countless people, causing them to grasp after a way of life and faith that is not biblical. Our hope is in the Lord, not in our own words, not even in our own faith (Psalm 33:20-22). Our faith comes from God in the first place (Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 12:2) and is not something we create for ourselves. So, be wary of any church that aligns itself with strange Faith teachings, the kind not subjected to the authority of scripture.

Faith is not force

To manipulate faith, and thus actually create what you believe Scripture promises (health and wealth) is nothing short of idolatry.

Believers should know it’s their duty to “hold the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.” 1 Timothy 3:9
