Each one of us is given grace

No believer is ever exactly the same with the other. Everyone is molded differently, uniquely and a bit of their own finger prints.

It pleased God to make all the vessels of his house altogether different. Just as the body is not complete without all its different features of head, hands, feet, etc., so are we in the body of Christ, we make each other complete. Try to imagine the chaos if your whole body was just an eyeball.

Same with ministry. I’m a preacher, just as the many servants of God are out there, but that we preach, each assign personal or unique meaning to scripture. It doesn’t have to be the same message or interpretation that preachers deliver because perception is different, as each is inspired or moved in their own way. The aim of the Gospel is to exhort the body of Christ in kind, and according to the hearing of their own faith, that all may find their own comfort from scripture. Imagine, if I preached like TD Jakes or teach the same message he that he teaches, would I be needed or make myself useful?

Right, please don’t tell me off, see where I’m getting along with this.

Believers should be able to understand the diversity and spiritual dynamics of their faith. Though different, “but it is the same God which worketh all in all.”

Paul says, “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant…Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” 1 Corinthians 12:1,4-7

God has given to each one of us, our own lights, (including yourself) he’s given to each one different ways of conveying his truth. While we can influence some people in some ways, it’s however scripture which should influence everyone according to His will and purpose. For instance, if it would be another pastor preaching this message now, he’ll interpret it differently but the source and purpose is the same. The language they’d use would be different, but still would be okay. The methods they choose would make them feel different and make them they, and I me, but the same Lord. I like this Paul said, “Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ” (Ephesians 4:3-7). It doesn’t say one word though! For God speaks in divers manners.

As is my custom, allow me to say this before I finish, if I or anyone have deleted, distorted or exaggerated the truth, the great thing about the mind is that everything you learn can be unlearned too. My pastor used to say reboot yourself! So I say also to you, reprogram yourself “with the sincere milk of the word of God.” The reason being, some believers were really programmed wrongly, and in an unhelpful way when they first believed, and they are stuck in a rut, situation, and don’t know how to get out.

But God sent us his word that you may deal with these barriers in your life that keep you locked in that same position restraining you from moving forward, and quenching the spirit.

That’s too much information for the day, we’ll leave it there for now! Because I believe anything is achieved when broken down into bite sized chunks.

God bless,
