What happened between President Mugabe and ED reminds me of the house of Saul and that of David.
“Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.” 2 Samuel 3:1
We all know how ED waxed stronger and stronger, in every way and every in constituency, and how that Mugabe’s influence waxed weaker and weaker. People say Mugabe will make a comeback, that’s all lies, it’s not gonna happen.
Anyway, there is one person who’s of interest to me now, Abner! The bible says, “while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.” (2 Samuel 3:6). All he was interested in was Saul’s concubine, and when he got her, he quickly switched sides. “And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make thy league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee” (2 Samuel 3:12). Does that sounds familiar? Think of all those surrounding ED, what make you of them?
There are people, prophets and pastors alike who we know had made themselves strong for Mugabe’s house, but what are they now? They’re busy flirting with President Mnangagwa saying, “Make thy league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee,” they say. What’s wrong now with Saul’s house? Abner said, “….thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman?” (2 Samuel 3:8).
Don’t be fooled! Not all people around ED are mighty men of valour, some are Abners who are only good at positioning themselves. Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul and when he saw that the house of David was waxing stronger and stronger – Abner quickly switched sides and demonised those who had remained, labelling them G40s, aren’t you? I said prophets and pastors alike – true, your sins will find you out.
