Does God speak?

Does God speak?

Does God ever speak to people; Apostles and Prophets today in a voice they can hear, like He did in Bible times?

It’s true that in Bible times God spoke occasionally to people in an audible voice, and occasionally He still may do so but the truth is not these days. Apostles should know better Hebrews 1:1-2 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things…”

Two things for you to take note quick;

  1. “God…at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets…” but not anymore, period.
  2. “…Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son…” who apparently has a new form of media to speak to us, i.e., His recorded Word. “While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” Matthew 17:5

God is not silent, He speaks to us but mostly through his recorded word. We don’t need to wait for God to speak to us in a voice we can hear, because He has already recorded His words for us in the Bible. He has told us everything we need to know concerning Him, and it’s written down in the pages of the Bible, not the heart of a so called man of God. In other words, we don’t need to wait around, hoping God may decide to speak to us some day, something new through some people. We go to church to hear that same old gospel, the comfort of scriptures. All we need to do now is conform, open the Bible and read it for ourselves that same old message He has for us.

Didn’t our lord warn us, “Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.” Matthew 24:26

What are you supposed to do?

Stay put on the same old scriptures – not giving heed to fables, to another Christ, to another spirit. “For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:2-3

O Happy day,
