“So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.” Romans 12:5
Say, “so we, being many…”
A cult is an organisation or person operating disjointedly from the universal body of Christ. It is a pity that we allow our leaders to divide us but the fact of the matter is we are one body in Christ. True, God has made of us many parts, but still there is only one body.
In the christian faith, it should not matter what sect you belong to, the thing is we belong to each other. We are out of touch and misplaced where we are driven by schisms. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 12:19-25,
“And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.”
Com’on saints, “Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.” (Romans 12:9). The good news is, both you, me and everyone of us who believes; we are sealed, and are on our way to heaven. So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another, those visible and invisible alike.
