“Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.” Isaiah 53:1-4
To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? It is revealed to you who thrives because you believe, you who grows despite you many adversities; whether it is sorrow, grief or pain. You shoot out like a tender plant, and like a root out of dry ground you continue sprout out and until you emerge victorious.
The arm of the Lord is revealed to you who have humble beginnings; you that are despised, and are rejected of man, to you that are shrouded with so many griefs and sorrows, and are less esteemed – you who looks upon yourself and say I’ve ‘no form nor comeliness,’ and you who when people look at they say, ‘there is no beauty that we should desire him.’ There is no attractiveness at all, nothing to make people like you but it’s on you the Lord is saying, “Arise, anoint him: for this is he.” 1 Samuel 16:12
To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? Unto you who has believed our report. What report? The report that Jesus went about both to preach and to teach – “…preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God.” (Mark 1:14). “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” (Romans 14:17) What is pastor doing? I’m showing you the glad tidings of the kingdom of God.
“And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.” Mark 4:30-32
The things pertaining to the kingdom of God are like that grain of mustard seed, which, at the moment it is sown in your life, it seems to be of a lesser value but once sown, will surprise you for it’ll certainly spring out, and will grow up, becoming greater than all the other herbs, but how it grows you “knoweth not how.” (Mark 4:27). It is the Lord’s doing and is marvellous in our eyes.
To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? Certainly, to those who have ears to hear, “If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.” (Mark 4:23). The problem we’ve these days is people pretend to have heard yet as they go along you notice that they put that they’ve heard under a bushel, or under a bed instead of setting that up on a candlestick. But the arm of the Lord is revealed to “doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” (James 1:22). He continued saying, “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” (James 1:25). Also Paul says in Galatians 6:9, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Hypocrisy is it that makes you faint.
Put weight or emphasis on things as would matter in the kingdom of God and the name of Christ. “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” Philippians 4:6-9
Let your moderation be known unto all men; that you’re born there, you’re different, and that your thinking is such as is from God’s. To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? Any man as would come after him, but “let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.” (Matthew 16:24-25). And Hebrews 11:24-26 says, “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.” The recompence of the reward is the great reward that God will give to you who overcome. To whom therefore is the arm of the Lord revealed? It is revealed to you zealous and to you esteeming the reproaches of Christ greater riches. “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” Revelation 3:20-21
