Psalm 79

For we are brought very low.

“O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.” Psalm 79:1  The Psalmist cries, O God, the heathens have broken into your house, they’ve violated your holy temple, with their evil deeds they’ve even brought us very low, to the edge.  David asked in Psalm 2:1, “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?” I hear Paul say, “For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
