"What makes me happiest is the well-earned reward you will have because of your kindness." Philippians 4:17

Prayer request

A very present help in trouble.

When we say, “God is our refuge and strength” (Psalm 46:1). What we mean is He’s a very present help in time of trouble.

We should not fear! Though the earth is removed from under our feet.

What worries many of us believers is the fact of losing something or someone. But David here is saying;

“Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.” Psalm 46:2-3

Here is the reason why we shouldn’t fear;

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah” (Psalm 46:7).  The Lord of hosts is with us!

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early” (Psalm 46:5).

We’re not afraid because God himself is living among us, and because that God is with us, He will help us ‘right early’ and cause our wars to end.

Remember, our God is “The Lord of hosts,” and as He is commander of the heavenly armies he’ll surely lead us into so many battles, but win them for us.

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.” (Psalm 46:4). I like the situation of the river! In Judges 7:7 the Lord told Gideon “I’ll conquer the Midianites with these three hundred!” but “Send all the others home!” There were two groups, and only three hundred of the men drank from their hands; but all the others drank with their mouths to the stream. They were sent away because they feared. Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”

God bless you,

Laurence

Bible verse of the day

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
